Therapy in RI and MA by and for queer and neurodiverse people and families
As a queer and transmasculine person (they/he pronouns) who recognizes their own neurodivergence as both a superpower and an internal obstacle course, I know firsthand the incredible opportunities for growth - and, of course, the many challenges - we face on journeys of identity exploration and affirmation. Through my own experiences and in hearing the experiences of others, I’ve noticed many parallels between the self-discovery, acceptance, and affirmation processes around queerness and neurodivergence.
My perspective is that, as a client, your energy in therapy should go towards reflecting, connecting, experiencing, and building momentum behind the changes that enrich your life. It is not your job to train your therapist.
My lived experiences as a client, a clinician, and a clinical leader have taught me the incredible comfort and value of having a therapist that just “gets it” - and how frustrating, invalidating, and isolating it can feel when they don’t.
If you've ever felt like you had to shrink, mask, explain, or apologize for who you are, you’re not alone. This is a space where your whole, authentic self is welcome and valued.
We’ll work together to uncover and grow those glimmers of joy and connection that fuel a full, healthy, and meaningful life.
Partner with a therapist with more than just professional experience. Feel the difference it makes to get beyond feeling heard to being understood.

A Rhode Islander since 2013, I moved to RI while working towards my Masters of Social Work at Simmons University. I fell in love with the friendly community and diversity of culture, cuisine, and public arts events here in my adopted state as well as its convenient & beautiful beaches and state parks.
Outside of work, I am an avid fan of live music and performance of all types, especially theatre. I am a lifelong nerd and am often found with a book in hand. Any empty corners of my life are filled with my semi-retired therapy dog Biscuit’s adorable, but insistent, requests for endless snuggles, walks, and treats.

We’ve all heard that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert of any craft. It takes practice, exposure to challenging situations and setbacks, and an active dedication to professional and personal growth to be a leader in any field.
Before deciding to open my own practice, I accumulated nearly triple that 10,000 hours in sessions, training and mentoring other therapists. I’ve worked in adolescent residential treatment settings, intensive in-home trauma therapy services, and outpatient gender-affirming care - providing attuned and effective mental health services to to youth, young adults, and their families. In the process, I acquired extensive training in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy approaches.
I also gained extensive training and experience identifying and addressing the many ways that trauma’s impacts show up in people’s lives - always founded in evidence-based and evidence-informed practices such as Trauma Systems Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), somatic approaches, and the Risking Connections trauma-informed care model.
In practice, this experience makes for an eclectic and individualized approach. As we get to know each other, I’ll focus first on building our therapeutic relationship so you feel safe and supported as we explore and work towards your unique goals, keeping in mind your needs and preferences. I most often pull from Motivational Interviewing, DBT, trauma treatment practices, and narrative therapy to help you build the confidence, momentum, and skills to make the changes you want to see in your life a reality.
