If you decide to start therapy, we will get you scheduled for your first full session. Your therapist will send you the intake paperwork electronically through our client portal.

With Transformation Clinical Services, you can always expect welcoming and affirming vibes and collaborative, evidence-informed clinical interventions.

At this time, therapy services are provided virtually to clients residing in MA and RI.

All services are provided using a secure video service.

Session availability fluctuates over time, but sessions are generally available weekdays between 11am and 9pm.

We maximize evening availability to make therapy accessible to those who work days, have family obligations in the afternoons, or who are just night owls (like us!).

Individual therapy:

• $175 - $225*/ hour session

• $300/ extended 90-minute session

Relationship therapy:

• $200 - $250* / hour session

As part of intake, you’ll receive an email with a link to make a TherapyStack account for your client portal. You will provide your credit/debit card information, which will be retained in your record. All session fees will be charged to the card on file within one day of the session occurring.

Professional development services are billed separately but with similar policies; a card is required to be kept on file with the practice and services are billed after completion. Trainings may require a 50% deposit.

In order to focus more fully on you as an individual and the work we do together, and to avoid the stigma, gatekeeping, privacy concerns, and other well-known issues with the medical industrial complex, all services are provided on a private pay or out-of-network (OON) basis.

Some insurance plans reimburse a percentage or a specific amount for services that are covered under your plan, but provided by a professional that has not signed a contract with your specific insurance company.

Unlike in-network providers, who bill your insurance company directly, with out-of-network therapists, you pay at the end of the session and then submit a claim to your insurance for reimbursement.

Transformation Clinical Services provides a Superbill (a fancy receipt) that you can submit to your health insurance for reimbursement, if you’re eligible.

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits and you don’t want to deal with submitting Superbills yourself, TSC partners with Thrizer to help check your benefits, estimate your session cost, and submit eligible out-of-network claims after sessions are charged.

Thrizer fees depend on the Billing Type and Reimbursement Method. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is determined by your insurance plan after claims are processed.

Founded in social work values of equity, Transformation Clinical Services has several initiatives to help our communities.

• Free/ “pay-what-you-can” gender-affirming care readiness assessments and letters for community members

• Free/ “pay-what-you-can” consultations for those planning to come out, or who have had a loved one come out and would like some support

Community Equity Fund

Clients who can afford to pay more than the base rate for therapy can choose to do so, with that portion of their fee going to a dedicated Community Equity Fund.

The Community Equity Fund enables Transformation Clinical Services to provide:

• Limited pro-bono and reduced-cost therapy services for those in need

• Reduced-cost or free trainings/ consultations provided to community organizations or agencies with limited training funds

• Coming Soon! - Free Name-Change Notary services

Yes - Readiness assessments for gender-affirming hormone therapy and surgery, as well as the letters of medical necessity required by insurance, are provided free/ “pay what you can” basis. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
