Community Equity Initiatives
Transformation Clinical Services is founded on social work values, especially service, social justice, and the dignity and worth of each person.
Towards this end, we’ve implemented a system to allow Transformation Clinical Services to provide some free and reduced-cost services for those in our community who are in need but unable to pay.

Readiness assessments for gender-affirming medical care such as hormone therapy and surgery, as well as the letters of medical necessity required by insurance, are provided on a free/ “pay what you can” basis. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
Transformation Clinical Services is a proud member of the Gender Affirming Letter Access Project (GALAP).

Therapy and professional development fees are listed as a sliding scale, with the lowest number being the base cost of the service - the amount that makes maintaining a therapy practice viable (i.e. covers operating costs).
Those who can afford to pay a little more, or whose OON insurance reimbursements are higher, can choose to pay a higher amount within that range to help support access to services for community members who have fewer means to pay.
The difference goes towards offsetting costs associated with the free and reduced-cost services provided as part of our Community Equity Initiatives.

The legal name change process involves getting your application notarized. This step typically involves an additional expense, in addition to the other fees associated with probate court and documentation updates. Notary services will be provided free of charge/ pay-what-you-can to community members to increase access to this critical gender affirmation process.
